A Moment of Need Met With Dignity and Care
A client called on a Friday morning, she was scheduled to be induced with her baby on Monday evening, and she had nothing because she had been released from jail. Due to the partner support we receive from PB414 we are able to go through our items without fear of not having enough. We were able to get her clothes, diapers, wipes, blankets, socks, hats, baby bottles, burp rags and countless other items so she would be prepared when her baby made his arrival.
She was so grateful that we would look beyond her situation and just help. We encouraged her, prayed for her and told her we were rooting for her. She started doing our program after baby was born. She now has been working and taking care of her baby.

Learning Skills to Lead Change
Arlene, was introduced to Beautiful Lives Thrift Boutique during a difficult period in her life. The PB414 partnership with DiVa & DuDe enabled her to receive counseling, skill-building workshops all made possible by PB414’s generous resources. As a result, Arlene, completed her training program and now manages a local nonprofit initiative, helping other women access similar opportunities. Her transformation is a testament to the lasting impact that targeted support can have on individual growth and community well-being.

Trafficked Survivor to Justice-Seeking Lawyer
At 13 Mahila was sold by someone she trusted to a brothel. The violence and abuse she experienced were unimaginable. But IJM began investigating the neighborhood around the brothel. Working with local police IJM conducted a rescue mission and freed Mahila and another girl from their captivity.
IJM social workers met with her several time a week in her aftercare shelter to help her process her trauma. In time Mahila’s spirit began to thrive again. She learned tailoring and embroidery to support herself and worked a full-time job while completing her education.
She became the first survivor of sec trafficking in IJM’s case history to become a lawyer. Her pain was turned to strength. She is ensuring others will have an advocate they can trust. “I am who I am today because of IJM. Thank you!” PB414 is part of making stories of rescue and restoration possible.

A Mother’s Call to Serve through Nursing
Go Near Ministry has funded Grace, a single mother who works as a cook at Life Spring, to attend night classes at Nairobi hospital to become a certified nursing assistant. She feels God is calling her to care for the elderly and vulnerable. She lives in the nearby slum and cannot afford tuition for CNA certification.

Vulnerable Single Mother to Empowered Entrepenuer
The impact of the support from Beautiful Lives Thrift Boutique can be seen through one example of a young single mother named Asia. Asia came to the vocational training program with zero sewing skills and completed our program. Upon completion, she started making local orders with some of the graduates. Now, she is owning her own business. Your gift empowered her to learn from us through her job and then reach her dream of owning her own business and becoming 100% self-sufficient.

Trauma Therapists Giving Restoration
A Tangible Truth scholarship recipient had a trauma so severe that they were afraid to sleep for fear of passing away. Through counseling with a Tangible Truth therapist, the client has begun to sleep in their own bed, sleeping for an entire night for the first time in years.
Another client came requesting trauma therapy from past childhood sexual abuse… and over time and with specialized training from one of our Tangible Truth Trauma Therapists, the TT Client has found hope and freedom. Praise God!!
